Andrea Strobl was born in 1958 in Steyr (Upper Austria). She received her degree from the University Mozarteum Salzburg in School Music and Music Pedagogy majoring in both piano and cello. She continued with her studies at the Music University Vienna where she studied song accompaniment for a year with Roman Ortner. She has been an accompanist for many master classes including those of Wilma Lipp, Kurt Widmer, Walter Berry and Helena Lasarszka.

In 1985 Andrea Strobl was appointed university assistant in the areas of vocal coaching and student counselling. She is also a member of the artistic management staff entrusted with organizational duties. She has been a vocal coach in the Mozart Opera Institute since 2014.
