Ulrike Arp was born and raised in Saalfelden, Austria. She studied both German and English philology in Salzburg and received her diploma in acting in 1986. She is a member of the Playhouse Theatre in Salzburg where she is also a speech pedagoge at the adjoining acting school. She is a qualified AAP-trainer („Atemrhythmisch Angepasste Phonation“/“Breathing Rhythm Adjusted Phonation“) receiving her diploma from the Coblenzer-Muhar Institute in Linz, Austria in 2002. In 2016 she received her diploma authorizing her to be a Linklater teacher.
Ulrike Arp is currently on the staff at the University Mozarteum Salzburg where she teaches speech training for Bachelor students as well as opera dialoge. She is a narrator for the radio, television and video productions and is a coach for the editors of the Austrian Radio “ORF”.
Ulrike Arp is married with 3 children.
